| "He was a PFC, 20 years old and KIA 1/4/69. He had been sick, probably malaria, His temp was 104 I think. The Doc, and I can't remember his name darn it, had to fib about Rich's temperature to get an emergency medivac out. Crappy weather. Well when the chopper left it took some hostile fire and he was killed. What luck! We all felt bad but you can imagine how the Doc felt. Rich was a good guy, but weren't they all?" | |||
