Chris
served in the United States Army achieving the rank of CWO2.
After
20 tears of active duty he retired to Portland, Oregon.
During
his years of service he was awarded Army of Occupation Medal (Germany),
National Defense Service Medal, 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal,
5th Award, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 dvc, Army
Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Armed Forces Honor Medal, 2nd Class,
ARCOM, 1st OLC and several citations.
Some
of his duty stations included Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Germany, Italy and all
over the USA.
He
worked for the US Post Office until his retirement in 1980. Then
started his own business "Double Dutch" firewood and lawn
maintenance business. He retired in 1998 to care for his wife who
later died in 2005.

Chris Harold Leubner was born May 29, 1931, in Auburn, N.Y. He served in the Army for 20 years. He moved in 1968 to Portland, where he was a floor supervisor and personnel supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. He also owned Double Dutch, a firewood and lawn maintenance service. In 1952, he married Melrae Alford; she died in 2005.
