William "Bill" Madewell
Madewell, William 'Bill' 70 Dec. 21, 1941 July 12, 2012 Bill grew up in east Gresham part of a large family, eight siblings and numerous cousins who he considered siblings. Joining the Navy in 1960, spent most of his time on the USS Henrico. He married Peggy in 1965. Retired in 2005 from NW Natural Gas after 37 years. He had many great friends, was an avid sportsman, loved hunting and fishing. In death Bill is preceded by parents, Hershel and Jane; brother, John; sister, Pat. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Donna, Ralene and DeAnn; son, Karl; brothers, Richard, Tom amd Willie; sisters, Millie, Nancy and Janie; eight grand and 14 great-grandchildren. Military honors will be Wednesday, July 18, at Willamette National Cemetery, 1 p.m., friends are welcome.
