April 29, 1946 — April 24, 2011

Ronald S. Morgan, 64, passed away April 24, 2011, at his home in Spokane, Wash.

He was born April 29, 1946, in Salem to Elmer and Betty Morgan. He graduated from North Salem High School in 1964, then served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant from 1968 to 1970, during the Vietnam War. Ron married the love of his life, Dana, on March 18, 1972. He graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in drafting technology from Chemeketa Community College, and began work for CH2M Hill Engineering Consultants in Corvallis in 1974.

Ron moved his family to Spokane in 1980, and, due to health issues, he retired early, in October 2002. He loved living his life, playing baseball, golfing, camping, fishing and music. He was an incredible artist who showed his creativity through building amazing birdhouses.

A memorial service open to all will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Spokane North Stake Center, 401 W. Regina Ave. A memorial fund in his name has been set up through Spokane Teachers Credit Union.
