Oliver Burdine Parks, 64, of Lebanon, died Sept. 18, 2012, at the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

A celebration of his life was held Sept. 22 at the American Legion Santiam Post 51 in Lebanon.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1948, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Haskel and Loria (Smith) Parks.

He grew up in the Burley and Rupert, Idaho area. He joined the Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam before being honorably discharged in 1972. He moved to Lebanon in 1979, where he owned and operated the Lebanon Radiator Shop for 25 years until selling it in 2005.

He married Linda Taylor on Dec. 23, 2010, in Lebanon.

He was a member of the American Legion Santiam Post 51.
