Former Wheatland resident Gary Wallesen, 70, passed away on January 5, 2010, at the VA Hospital in Portland, Oregon, from a long illness.

He graduated in 1958 from Wheatland High School and will still be remembered by friends in the area.

Services were held at the Vancouver Lodge in Vancouver, Wash.

Survivors include his wife Debbie, daughter Judy of Mexico, son Gary Jon of Portland, sister Marcia Derrera of Denver, brother Warren from Mesa, Ariz and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
